Summit on sustainable project management

Within the 32nd IPMA World Congress the engineering division of the state corporation Rosatom, the National Project Management Association SOVNET, and USA based GPM Global with Association Project Alliance, the GPM Global representative in Russia and CIS, partnered to hold a Summit on sustainable project management.

Due to the serious epidemic restrictions many participants took part in the Congress on-line. The Sustainable Project Management Summit attracted the attention of project management professionals of nuclear industry and other sectors, the banking industry, government structures and professional societies.

The Summit participants were UN Global Compact Russia, Rostelecom (Russia), Aushan Holding (France), Infra Green, JSC Rusatom Overseas, Nobilis Industries (USA), PMA Project Alliance (Russia), JSC GSPI (Russia) and others.

The Summit participants were in agreement about the ESG agenda and sustainable development and considered the issues to be an important benchmark for contemporary companies, industries, countries and for mankind.

The Summit participants agreed that project management contributes to the companies’ strategic objectives on sustainable development.

The Summit participants consider training and certification of project managers, project team members, training of green project managers on the entire territory of large business to be the 1st priority to achieve sustainable development and encourage everyone to prioritize ESG matters in their organization for the greater good of humankind.
